SUCAP Youth Services' purpose is to support young people in the community through positive activities and services. Youth Services promotes healthy lifestyles to youth, ages 12–18, in La Plata County through direct and indirect services, including the Ignacio Teen Center, Vertical Limit activities (paintball, camping, bowling, and more), Friday Night Overdrive, Ski & Ride Club, After Prom parties, Personal Responsibility Parenting Classes, and more. SUCAP also coordinates the La Plata County Step-It-Up Prevention Coalition, which is responsible for substance abuse prevention campaigns, youth employment, and for seeing that the Healthy Kids for Colorado Surveys are administered to La Plata County youth.
