The Training Advantage Home
The Training Advantage (TTA) operates employment and training programs in partnership with the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment and two counties in Southwest Colorado. Most TTA field staff members are based in the Colorado Workforce Centers in the Southwest and Western workforce regions.
TTA provides services through the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) on behalf of the state. The programs funded through WIA include:
- Adult services for those 18 and older needing job seeking assistance and/or occupational skill development (Southwest)
- Dislocated Worker services for those who have lost employment through no fault of their own (Southwest)
- Youth services for those 17 – 21 who are low income and have barriers to employment (Southwest & Western)
Additional programs operated by TTA include:
- Native American WIA Adult & Youth programs on behalf of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe (Ignacio)
- A summer youth employment program on behalf of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe (Ignacio)
- Employment First, a food stamp recipient jobs program, on behalf of La Plata and Archuleta Counties
- Colorado Works, a TANF recipient jobs program, on behalf of La Plata and Archuleta Counties
